James Allen Rountree

Graveside funeral services for James Allen Rountree, age 76 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Rentz City Cemetery. Rev. Tom Vann will officiate.
Mr. Rountree was born April 30, 1949, in Forsyth, Georgia. He was the son of the late Henry Allen "H.A." Rountree and Fleeta Moore Rountree. He was a retired Data Clerk for New Holland. He also worked for the Laurens County Recycling Collection Center in Rentz where he fell in love with the recycling process and always helped others when they came to the collection center. He loved his dogs, especially Jake who could always be found by his side. He was known as a God-fearing man who loved the Lord with his whole heart. He was a good man who had lots of friends. Mr. Rountree passed away Monday, November 10, 2025, at Fairview Park Hospital.
Mr. Rountree is survived by his wife, Kay Oxford Rountree of Rentz, 2 sons, Anson Rountree of Cleveland and Jody Brooks of Dublin; a brother, Reggie (Christine) Rountree of Rentz; and 4 grandchildren, Kristen (Corey) Wren, Alyssa Rountree, Emma Rountree, and Arianna Rountree.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Rentz City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tim Luecke, Rick Luecke, Dale Jones, Jeffery Morton, Richy Everly, and Vann Penny.
The family would like to recognize Mike and Jeffery Morton for the passionate care and faithfulness they showed the family and Allen while taking care of Mr. Rountree during his sickness.
