Anna Rountree, age 15, died Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Memorial Health University Medical Center. Anna was born in Bulloch County on December 9, 2009. She attended Southeast Bulloch High School. Anna participated in soccer, cheerleading and Fellowship of Chrisitan Athletes while attending Southeast Bulloch High School. Anna was active in the youth group at First Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at Clarks Hill Lake, Summer beach trips to St. Simons, swimming, playing volleyball with friends and cooking with her mother, Azure Rountree.
She is survived by her dad, Joel Rountree, brothers Henry and James Rountree, sister Sarah Rountree, grandmother, Katherine Rountree, grandfather, Roy Rountree, uncle, Stephen Rountree (Kelly Rountree), uncle, Anthony Bailey Jr. (Nikki Bailey), grandmother, Vonnie Bailey and great grandmother, Mary Humphrey. Anna was preceded in death by her mother, Azure Rountree.
The First Baptist Church worship center will open at 3:00 pm Sunday, August 24, 2025 where Anna will lie in state until the funeral hour.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 4:00pm until 5:00 pm with Dr. John Waters and Pastor Keith Hagan officiating.
Interment will be private.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Rountree, Thomas Fallon, Jonny Owens, Anthony Bailey, Bryan Doughty and D.J. Vickery.
Anna's classmates and teammates are encouraged to sit in the honorary pallbearer section in the sanctuary.
The family requests that contributions be made to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in lieu of flowers.
