James Allen Sanders, affectionately known as "Allen," passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, at the Hospice of Dayton. Born on December 3, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, he lived a life full of joy, laughter, and love, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A proud attendee of Xenia High School, Allen dedicated his professional life to the construction industry, where his skills and work ethic were highly regarded. He was not only known for his craftsmanship but also for his colorful language and unforgettable sense of humor. Allen had a unique way of connecting with others, especially children, whom he adored and always had nicknames for.
In his personal life, Allen was a father to his children: Thomas Allen (Tina) Sanders, Charles (Crystal) Lane, and Rodney (Beth) Thompson. Allen is also survived by his beloved siblings, Jeannine (Chris) Meek and Jeffrey Sanders, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends who will deeply miss his presence.
Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Alexander and Wilma Sanders, as well as his brother, Thomas Harrison Sanders, and sister Kimberly Sanders. Their memories will forever be intertwined with the legacy of love and laughter that Allen leaves behind.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on April 27, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio.
Allen's life was enriched by his fondness for his cherished Chihuahua companions: Tutty, Cherokee, and Midge. Even in his final moments, he was surrounded by love, passing just after his family left his side, a testament to the strong bonds he nurtured throughout his life. His memorable stories and genuine spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
