James W. "Jim" Scheuren, 80, of Cornell (Boney Falls), passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.
He was born on March 10, 1943 in Escanaba, son to Morton G. and Muriel V. (Way) Scheuren. A lifelong resident of Boney Falls, Jim graduated from Escanaba High School, class of 1961. He owned and operated his own dairy and beef farm for many years, until retiring in 2000. In his retirement years, he enjoyed raising white tail deer and elk.
On March 24, 1989, Jim married Constance J. Schnitzler in Escanaba.
Jim was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and planting and working in his garden and fruit orchard. He enjoyed bowling league, playing cards especially poker and Skip-Bo, and loved his cat "Socks".
Among survivors include his wife, Connie; three children, Michael (Shannen) Scheuren of Escanaba, Eric (Alisa) King of Gladstone, and Jamie (Branden) Young of Boney Falls; grandchildren, Hunter (Jade), Faith, and Paityn; and great granddaughter, Maryjaine; siblings, Duane (Pat) Scheuren of Schaffer and Kenny (Marianne) Scheuren of New Berlin, WI; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 5th from 2-4 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba. The funeral service and an opportunity to share a remembrance will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Tim Haugen officiating.
