James Allen Schwartz
A Resident of Schaumburg multiple times throughout his life.
A Celebration of Life for James Allen Schwartz, 70, will be Friday, November 1 from 3:00pm – 7:00pm at Michaels Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg.
Born June 3, 1954 in Chicago to the late Melvin and Verdelle, he passed away October 20, 2024 in Schaumburg.
Jim grew up in Schaumburg and was proud to be part of the first class to graduate from Schaumburg High School. He was a die-hard fan of the Chicago Cubs, a talented contract painter, and beloved family man.
Jim's greatest pride and joy were his children, Kevin and Tiffany. He was their biggest supporter, cheering them on at countless baseball, softball, and hockey games over the years, always encouraging them to follow their dreams.
He loved Christmas and his family treasures the memories of him listening to all the classic Christmas songs throughout the holiday season. Jim was not just a skilled painter, but his pride in his home and hard work transformed each house he lived in, in to a home filled with warmth, love, and laughter.
Jim had the incredible ability to bring light, smiles, and most importantly, laughter to any occasion. He came up with the silliest nicknames for his family, which would transform, but always stuck throughout the years.
A spiritual man with a deep belief in Christ, he found comfort and strength in his faith. Jim shared a strong and unique bond with his beloved dog, Kylee of 7 years, who sadly passed away just a few months ago. Their connection was profound, marked by an unspoken bond that made them inseparable partners in life.
Loving father of Kevin (Ashley) and Tiffany (Ivan); beloved son of Melvin and Verdelle Schwartz; cherished grandfather of Harper Schwartz; loving brother of Judith Krautwurst (Gary); adored uncle of Karen, Kim, and Erik Krautwurst, as well as David (Amy) and Michael Kalas; dear friend and neighbor to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

I am in shock and so sad. I talked to Jim all the time. I hadn't seen him for a couple of weeks and thought he was away to visit family. He was devastated when Kylee passed and we last talked about picking a dog from a shelter. He was such a nice, kind, gentle man. We will all surely miss him. All my best to his family.
