Visitation for Marlene Marie Zajack, 81, will be Sunday, Nov. 16, from 2pm – 6pm at Michaels Funeral Home, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Friends and family will gather for a visitation before mass on Monday, Nov. 17, at 10am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 215 Thomas More Dr., Elgin. Interment to follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine. Marlene was born January 15, 1944, in Chicago, to the late John and Stephanie Knych, and she peacefully passed away November 8, 2025, in Schaumburg. Family was everything to Marlene. She loved having everyone together, whether it was for a big holiday, a casual get-together, or just coffee and conversation. She also spent a lot of time having fun with her grandchildren. During her free time, she enjoyed building her favorite Lego sets that she loved to display. She made everyone feel welcome, and her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the people she loved most. Loving wife of 62 years to Frank; beloved mother of Sheryl (Tom) Spooner, Jennifer Zajack, Susan (Mike) Clark; cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Justin) Graham, Melissa (Ethan) Atwell, Amanda Spooner, Anthony and Dylan Zajack, and Addison Clark; adored great-grandmother of Easton and Elle Graham; beloved aunt and dear friend to many. She is preceded in death by her two sisters, brother; and son, Greg. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. For information, please call 847-891-2900 or visit www.michaelsfh.com.
