He was born September 12, 1948, in Nashville, Tennessee to Mary Agnes Kelly.
He is survived by his mother Mary Agnes Kelly; daughters, Marianne (Fayez) Abdel, Amanda (Jeremiah) and Christy (David Patrick) Johnson; sisters Maria (Tommy) Boshers and Bonnie Kelly; and brother Paul "Ricky" (Kim) Sensing.
James grew up in Dickson County, TN. For all his life, he took on the career of driving tractor trailers all over the country. Even though he had a busy and unusual job, he was a simple man who enjoyed many things. He loved to watch football, especially his hometown team the Titans, watching NASCAR, eating Werthers Caramel filled candies, and enjoyed his scratchoffs.
He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends In Nashville/Madison TN, Dickson County and Zephyrhills FL.
