James P. Seymour

Jim P. Seymour, age 74, of Wickliffe, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025. He was born on November 21, 1950, and grew up in Wickliffe, OH. Jim will be remembered for his larger-than-life spirit. He was known for his vibrant and boisterous celebrations with family and friends at his home, where everyone congregated for just about any occasion. There was always room for all guests! He managed the Point After bar in Wickliffe and was a longtime manager at Home Depot in Euclid and Mentor where he earned the nickname "Home Depot Jim." But his most proud nickname was "Big Papa" to his beautiful grandchildren. They were mesmerized by his magic tricks and filled with laughter from his lighthearted sense of humor.
Jim leaves behind his children, Brandon Seymour and Morgan (Seth) Metcalf; and grandchildren, Grant, Ames, and Wynne. As the eldest and big brother to 8 crazy siblings, Jim will be missed by his brothers and sisters: Deb (Jim) Jarosz, Tim (Janet) Seymour, Karen Seymour, Doug Seymour, and Tom (Danielle) Seymour; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews; dear cousin to many. He will be welcomed into the heavenly arms of his parents, Patricia and Charles Seymour, younger brothers, Terry, Kevin, and Brian, and his beloved pets.
Celebrate Jim with his family at THE ORLANDO-DONSANTE-PREVITE FUNERAL HOME 29550 EUCLID AVE., WICKLIFFE, ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 9TH FROM 11:00 AM TO 3:00 PM WHERE A FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 2:30 PM TO CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF JIM.
Jim had a love for dogs, so in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's memory to The Lake Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Boulevard, Bldg. E, Mentor, OH 44060.
