James B. Shelton, aged 90, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025. Born on September 5, 1934, in Manchester, James was a lifelong resident who was deeply loved by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Frank, J.E., and Preston Shelton, his sister Marie, his stepson Dwight Brown, and niece Billie Earl.

James is survived by his son Christopher Shelton; his granddaughter Consuela "Connie" Houston; great-granddaughter Caitlyn; and great-great-grandsons Tyler and Camden, nieces Katie Sims, Bobby Shelton, Barbara Sue Shelton, Shirley Shelton, Jennifer Green, and nephew Michael Shelton. He is also lovingly remembered by his special friend Marg and her children Cherie, Lloyd Jr., Lisa, Dennis, Marjorie, and David who held a special place in his heart.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Manchester Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery in Normandy, Tennessee.

James's quiet strength, warmth, and devotion to those he loved will be remembered always. Manchester Funeral Home is honored to serve the Shelton family.
