Mary Alma Hernandez

Mary Alma Wisdom Hernandez, 72, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025. She was born in Morris, Illinois, on March 12, 1953, to the late James and Daisy Wisdom.

Mary was a dedicated employee, working for many years before retiring just four years ago at the age of 68. She was known for her incredible work ethic and commitment.

She was married to her loving husband, Andres Hernandez, and they recently celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary. Mary was a devoted mother and a loyal friend. She had a passion for collecting magnets from all her travels, filling her refrigerator and even her doors with them. She also loved playing the dice game Yahtzee and was a great lover of animals, especially dogs and cats.

Mary will be deeply missed by her husband, Andres Hernandez; her daughters, Jaime Mooneyham and husband Tony Mooneyham, and Bonnie Anthony Brown; her son, David Wayne Anthony; her brother, Richard Wisdom; and her sister, Martha Tweet. She is also survived by six grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and their spouses.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Manchester Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. A burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
