John R. Fetty, 84, passed away on August 13, 2025.

Born in Paducah, Kentucky, John lived a life marked by dedication to his work, his family, and his community. He spent many years traveling the country opening new JC Penney stores, eventually settling in Tullahoma, Tennessee, where he managed the local JC Penney and became a well-known and respected member of the community.

John was an active member of the Kiwanis Club in Tullahoma and generously gave his time to causes he believed in, including overseeing the construction of homes for Habitat for Humanity. He also sang in the choir at First Methodist Church in Tullahoma and, alongside his wife, Patricia "Trish" Merlo-Fetty, faithfully attended evening services at Boynton Valley Baptist Church.

At home, John was known for his warmth, wit, and unwavering control of the TV remote-much to his wife's amusement. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather and great-grandfather.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Patricia Fetty, and his brother, Jack Fetty. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Merlo- Fetty; daughters Celena O'Meara (Bo) and Kristen Key (Reid); stepdaughters LaDonna Bacon (Steve) and Michelle Crowell; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Manchester Funeral Home on August 30, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with the service being held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

John's legacy of kindness, humor, and service will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Manchester Funeral Home is honored to serve the Fetty family.
