James (Munk) William Shinton Sr., age 76, of Clarksville, Tn passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024. He was born on September 25, 1948 in Emlenton, Pa to the late Charles and Velma Shinton.
James lived a life marked by hard work and his deep passions and unshakeable commitment to his family and community. To many, James was not just a father and grandfather, but also a mentor and friend. His interests were as vast as his heart.
An avid motorcyclist, he was a proud member of Bikers Who Care, embodying the spirit of camaraderie and dedication to service. His love for motorcycles was only matched by his passion for coaching little league baseball and football, where he inspired countless young athletes with his wisdom, kindness, and unwavering support. He cherished the moments spent with his family, especially the laughter shared during family gatherings and the pride he felt watching his children and grandchildren thrive.
James is survived by his sons, Jimmy Shinton Jr., Jason Shinton, and Jeremy Shinton, as well as his cherished daughter, Lori Shinton; his grandchildren, Madalyn Shinton, Aniston Shinton, Tucker Shinton, Cameron Shinton, and Avery Shinton; his brother, Chuck Shinton, who will forever remember him for his contagious enthusiasm for life.
In addition to his parents, James Shinton is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vickie Shinton; his son, Joseph Shinton; and sister, Anna Rickert; whose absence left a profound impact on his life. Even as they are apart, the love they shared continues to resonate in the hearts of those who knew them.
As we reflect on the legacy of James, we remember a man who lived passionately, loved deeply, and touched the lives of many. He will be missed but never forgotten, remaining forever in the stories shared amongst family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. with a visitation starting at 12:00 P.M. until the time of service."
