Mr. James Carl Smith
Aiken, SC— A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Cole Funeral Home with Rev. Brancie Stephens officiating. Mr. James Carl Smith, age 75, entered into rest on March 9, 2024 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. He was born in Conway, SC to the late Mr. Albert Smith and Mrs. Georgia P. Thompkins. He was the loving husband to Mrs. Pamela Hiers Smith. Mr. Smith had his own landscaping business for 10 years in Myrtle Beach. He was a landscaper for the Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort in Downtown Myrtle Beach. He won 2 awards from the city of Myrtle Beach and he retired in 2011. He also was a masonry sub contractor for 8 years. Mr. Smith enjoyed woodworking, yard work, and planting flowers. He loved his family and his two cats, Bart and Ernie. Survivors include: four brothers, Donnie Smith, Loris, SC, Wilbur Smith, Loris, SC, David Smith, Socastee, SC, Randall Smith, Myrtle Beach, SC, and Danny Smith, Myrtle Beach, SC; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Ralph Smith, Roger Smith, and Johnny Lee Smith; and 1 sister, Bonnie Lee Smith.
