James H. Snook, age 89, of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at 9:30 PM. Born on December 27, 1935, in Trenton, New Jersey, Jim lived a life marked by dedication, quiet strength, and unwavering commitment to his family and community.

Jim was born to John Snook and Evelyn Harrison and grew up in Trenton, where he graduated from Trenton Catholic School in 1953. Shortly after, he began his career as a journeyman meat cutter and proudly served in the United States Navy, working in supply management and logistics. His professional life continued in service to others as a union representative for the Butchers' Union, a role he held for 43 years with steadfast commitment.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Florence Snook (née Guhl). Together, they raised two sons, James and Gregory, and their family grew to include three grandchildren-Linda, Scott, and Gregory-and many great-grandchildren. Jim and Florence also shared a deep love for animals and welcomed many pets into their home over the years.

Known for his quiet presence and strong moral compass, Jim was a devoted member of his community, active in the local union, the Knights of Columbus, and his parish church. His faith was quiet but constant; attending church each weekend was simply part of the rhythm of his life.

In retirement, Jim discovered a love for golf. A memorable trip to Florida with his son Gregory in the late '90s sparked a passion for the game. From that point on, he could often be found on the golf course, where he enjoyed both the peace of the game and the time spent in reflection.

Despite being a man of few words, Jim had a way of making people feel truly seen. He will be remembered for the genuine interest he took in others, the thoughtful (if sometimes brief) wisdom he shared after listening, and his quiet habit of asking how others were doing and what their week had involved.

Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to Jim's Life Celebration on Monday, September 22, 2025 from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, all at Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, 2443 Trenton Rd., Levittown, PA 19056. Florence, Jimmy was the one true love of your life! I only met him once at your beautiful home when you invited the Y Birthday Club to a spaghetti luncheon. He was sitting in "his" chair in the living room. What a handsome, gentle, and funny man! You were perfectly matched for a lifetime of love and happiness. My sorrow runs deep for you, Florence, your 2 sons and extended family. With love and friendship. Leah Zenker
