A devoted father, cherished son, beloved pawpaw, caring brother, and loyal friend, Howard leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that touched the lives of many
Howard was a man of remarkable character, known for his vibrant sense of sarcasm and his penchant for storytelling. He found joy in leisure pursuits such as golfing, horse racing, hunting, and following the Miami Dolphins, often enjoying these moments surrounded by family and friends. His tireless work ethic and versatility made him a true jack of all trades, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Howard's endearing spirit and warmth will be profoundly missed by all who crossed his path.
Born on May 7, 1955, in Trenton, New Jersey, Howard was the loving son of James and Ruth (Fink) Snook. He was preceded in death by his brother, Homer Snook, and his fiancée, Valerie Minton.
In addition to the sorrow of losing such a remarkable man, Howard is survived by his adoring sons, Kevin Snook, Nicholas Snook, Bryan (Amanda) Snook, and Anthony Minton, along with his daughter, Lela (Mike) Burch. His legacy continues through his treasured grandchildren, Jacob, Emily, Gavin, Joshua, and Aaron. He is also remembered fondly by his siblings, Lynn Northcut, Susie Kelley, and Jimmy Snook, and his best friend, Gordon Minton, as well as an extended circle of family and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
A visitation in honor of Howard’s life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, followed by burial at Berea Christian Cemetery located at 188 Berea Church Road, Russellville, Kentucky 42276.
