Robert "Rob" L. Sanders, aged 57, of Leitchfield, Kentucky, left this world on February 13, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories he created throughout his life.
Rob was a shining light in the lives of those around him—a devoted father, son, brother, grandpa, and friend. He had an infectious zest for life that made every moment spent with him special. Whether he was shooting pool, casting a line while fishing, tending to his beautiful garden, or grilling for family gatherings, his happiness radiated, bringing joy to all who shared in those moments.
Known for his quick wit and delightful sense of humor, Rob always wore a smile on his face, lifting the spirits of everyone he encountered. His love for singing karaoke, a gift he joyously inherited from his father, showcased his remarkable talent and passion for music. His soothing voice resonated through countless gatherings, creating sweet memories etched in the hearts of those who listened.
Born on June 10, 1968, in Louisville, Kentucky, Rob was the cherished son of Robert and Carline (Haines) Sanders. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Carline, father, Robert Lee, and sister, Connie Leffler, who now watch over him with pride.
Rob leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his adoring son, Gary Sanders, and daughters, Connie (Terry) Mathis, Andrea Sanders, and Lanie Leffler. His grandchildren—Brydan, Gracie, Raelynn, Riley, Bailey, Ryder, and Serenity—were his joy, and they will carry forward his spirit in their laughter and memories. He is also survived by his sister, Betty (Richard) Starns; brothers, Robbie (Leslie) Sanders and Ronald (Renee) Ramsey; brother-in-law, Lonnie Leffler; a dear best friend / brother, David (Robin) Sidebottom and a multitude of nieces, nephews, as well as extended family and friends who will cherish his memory eternally.
