CAROLE LEE POGGEL GREULICH, 84, of Louisville, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026 in Shelbyville. She was a retired employee of Sears Teleservice and a teacher in both Louisville, Kentucky and Omaha, Nebraska. She was a 1959 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and a graduate of Ursuline College. She was a member of the Buechel Women's club, The Queen's Daughters, and Church of the Ascension. She was married on December 26th, 1970 to the late Joseph Leo Greulich. She is survived by a son, John David Michael Greulich (Lori); a daughter, Caroline Lynette "Cara" Greulich; ten grandchildren; and a beloved little dog, Bean. The funeral will be 10 am Monday February 23, 2026, at Ascension, 4600 Lynnbrook Dr., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is 2-5 pm Sunday February 22, 2026 at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Rd.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Carole's Honor to the St. X Scholarship Fund, Office of Institutional Advancement, 1609 Poplar Level Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40217, or the Queens Daughters, P.O. Box 7563, Louisville, Kentucky 40257.

So sorry to hear one of the kindest people I have ever met has left this earth. Aunt Carole, as I called her when they lived in NE, had an awesome sense of humor, a great laugh, and a heart of gold. The Tarr family was lucky to have the Greulich family in our lives. May God bless all of you during this time of sorrow. Sending love Julie Andresen and family
