James E. Sopak

James E. Sopak, 89, formerly of Falconer passed away Saturday (June 21, 2025) in the Rouse Home in Youngsville, PA. He was born April 13, 1936 in Steamburg, NY, the son of the late John and Bertha Harrington Sopak. Jim was a graduate of Randolph High School and was owner of Keith Trucking for 30 years. Prior to retirement he was employed by NYS Park Service. He was an avid golfer and loved hunting. Surviving are his three children: Jeffrey J. and Karen L. Sopak of Clearwater Florida, Julie A. Conti of North Carolina, Joel Sopak of Falconer; five grandchildren: Kate (Josh) Harlow, Zack Sopak, Jake Sopak, Maddie Conti, Luke Sopak; great grandchild Nora Wilson, Reid Sopak, Grayson Sopak; a sister Kay Peterson of CA. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Keith Sopak on May 18, 2018 whom he married in 1959, and an infant daughter, a brother Bob Sopak and sister Trudy Blodgett. A private burial will be in Levant Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be donated to the Chautauqua County Humane Society 2825 Strunk rd., Jamestown, NY 14701.
