Michael Palmieri, 71, of Jamestown passed away Monday (October 13, 2025) in his home surrounded by his family. A lifelong area resident he was born February 4, 1954 in Jamestown, the son of the late Salvatore J. and Mary Baggiano Palmieri. Mike was a graduate of Falconer High School and was employed by Weber Knapp Co. for 47 years retiring in 2019. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Mike also enjoyed attending classic cars shows and participating in dog shows. In earlier years he professionally trained Staffordshire Bull Terrier pedigree. Surviving is his wife Carmen J. Cruz Palmieri whom he married July 6, 1990 in Jamestown; a daughter Jennifer (Joshua) Slaven of Gerry; two step children: Luis Mercado and Carmen (Edward) Morales; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother Samuel Palmieri of Busti; 3 sisters: Julie (Patrick) Mullen of Ohio, Mary Jane (Daniel) Anderson of Jamestown, and Diane (Paul) Brown of Ellery. Besides his parents Mike was preceded in death by a step son Richard Mercado; a brother Russell Palmieri and a brother-in-law Patrick Mullen. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends will be received by the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be donated to National MS Society or Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care.
