James "Jimmy" Andrew Spivey, age 87, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, at his home.
He was born May 12, 1938, in Lynnville, Tennessee, to the late James and Suzy Bray Spivey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Mary Spivey in 2024 and a brother Larry Spivey.
He is survived by his daughter, Christy (Dale) Ingram of Gardendale, AL, and a son Richie (Trish) Spivey of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, June Brown of Lewisburg, Debbie Allen of Decatur, AL, Tonja Doblado of Sartis, TN; three grandchildren, Lindsey, Kelly, and Rachael; five great grandchildren, Skylar, Eli, Maxwell, Maeve, and James.
Prior to his retirement, he was an Electronics Technician for Southern Games. He also worked for Dixie Radio and TV Service in Lewisburg for many years. His commitment to his profession and his expertise in electronics earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike. Throughout his career, he was known for his reliability, technical skill, and willingness to help others with their electronic needs. He was a faithful member of Westvue Church of Christ. His involvement in the church reflected his dedication to his faith and his community. He participated in church activities and was always ready to lend a helping hand, embodying the values of compassion and service that were central to his life. His favorite pastime was playing golf with his friends. He was well known for his playful nature, often aggravating his friends about their game in good humor. These moments on the golf course were filled with laughter, camaraderie, and friendly competition, and they created lasting memories among his circle of friends. In addition to his hobbies, he was a proud owner of a 1990 Toyota Camry, which he still drove and maintained with the same care and attention that characterized his approach to work and life.
