James "Jim" B. Sprunk, age 66, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on July 5, 2025, surrounded by love.
Jim was born on June 24, 1959, in Toledo, Ohio, to James A. and Jeannette E. (Bernard) Sprunk. A proud graduate of Perrysburg High School, Class of 1977, Jim continued his education by earning a Bachelor of Science in Technology, from Bowling Green State University, in 1983. His growing interest in computers led him back to school, where he earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Electronics from Owens Community College in December 1995, graduating with highest honors and a perfect 4.0 GPA.
On October 6, 1984, Jim married the love of his life, Susan M. Bechill. Their journey together began 49 years ago and was filled with love, laughter, and countless shared memories.
Jim had a passion for learning and a deep curiosity about the world. He loved boating, cooking, flying stunt kites, birdwatching, and everything related to Star Trek. He was a true trivia enthusiast and enjoyed friendly nightly Jeopardy! competitions with Sue, a tradition she will deeply miss. His favorite meals were a good pizza, especially from Pisanello's, and a thick porterhouse steak, perfectly prepared.
Jim's presence, warmth, and wit will be missed most profoundly at home. His wife will especially miss the sound of his voice, the joy of his cooking, and the comfort of his companionship.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Sue Sprunk; his sisters, Wendy (Mike) Finch and Sherry (Tom) Brown; sister-in-law, Patricia (Jeffrey) Pubal; brothers-in-law, Tom (Sheri) Bechill, Bob Bechill, and Tim Gorsline; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jeannette Sprunk; in-laws, Paul and Margaret Bechill; his sister, Beth Creek; sister-in-law, Judy Bechill; and one nephew, Joey Bechill.
No services will be held at this time. Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg, Ohio, has been entrusted with all arrangements. Online memorial condolences can be made on our website at https://www.walkerfuneralhomes.com/.
