It is with a mixture of sadness and great joy, we share that Michael (Mike) Charles Sprunk, age 54, has passed to a place where he is free of the body that has fought him for years. Mike passed away peacefully and without pain Thursday morning, May 22nd. He donated his body to Northern Michigan University, Center for Forensic Anthropology as a forever donation for research. In Mike's words "I will be forever useful” something he longed to be in his life that his body would not allow.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, William A. Sprunk Jr., and Brother Jude Sprunk.
He will be forever remembered by his family: Kathyrn Freemon, Mother; William C. Sprunk, Sr. (Connie), Brother; Kathyrn (Katie) Burns (Chris), Sister; Alice Sprunk, Stepmother and 5 Nieces and Nephewsas well as a “plethora” (because Mike liked big words) of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. And last, but far from least, his friends who have loved and supported him throughout his life.
To all of those that have encounter “Mint Mike” Thank you all for your love, support, patience and understanding.
