James Stapleton Obituary
James “Jim” Warner McNutt, age 72, of Kingsport, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, November 10, 2025. Born in Scott County, he has lived in this area most of his life. "Jim" retired from the Bloomingdale Water Department after nearly 30 years of service. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he loved to paint and draw. He was proud of his native American heritage.
Mr. McNutt was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Lucille McNutt and two brothers, Bill and Tony McNutt. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter Bobbie Newsome and husband Chris; granddaughter, Bindi Newsome; four brothers; two stepsons; two step-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
