LANCASTER, SC –Mr. James "Eric" Sullivan, 72, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 11, 2025 after a nearly three year cancer battle. Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late James and Gladys Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan was a class of 1971 Lancaster High School graduate and a class of 1975 graduate of The University of South Carolina and spent his career in electronics manufacturing with NCR, Solectron and Flextronics. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a former board member of Lancaster Dixie Youth Baseball. An avid sports fan, Mr. Sullivan spent his retirement touring MLB ballparks with the intention of seeing a game at all 30. He was also a lifelong Gamecock and attended countless football and baseball games. When not watching or attending sporting events, you could find him in a deer stand, on a dove field, or fishing.

Mr. Sullivan is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jeri Sullivan; three children, his son, Brett Michael Sitte (Paige) of San Antonio, Texas; his daughter, Caitlin Sitte Bottoms (Ellis) of Eastover; and his son, Patrick Steele Sullivan of Lancaster; along with four granddaughters, Maleigh Bottoms, Joanna Bottoms, Vivian Sitte and Winnry Sitte. He leaves behind a circle of very close friends and cousins who were an integral part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gladys Sullivan; and his sister, Linda Sullivan Payseur.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Sullivan will be 2:00 pm Monday, September 15, 2025, at First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, SC officiated by Rev Neal Woods. The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
