Along with his wife, he is survived by three sons: Kyle (Caitlyn) Tackett, Drift, KY, Brandon Carroll, Printer, KY, Tyler (Morgan) Carroll of Washington; one daughter: Victoria (Thomas) Howell, McDowell, KY; one brother: Gary (Vicky) Tackett, MArion, OH; two sisters: Carolyn Belcher, Paintsville, KY, Diana (James) Pratt, Hindman, KY; one brother-in-law: Larry Thornsberry, Martin, KY; six grandchildren: Natalie, Sophia, Ayden, Izabella "Bella", Dawson, Addilyn and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two brothers: Bob & Earl Tackett; one sister: Artie Sue Thornsberry; one sister-in-law: Leigh Tackett and one brother-in-law: Doug Belcher.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the Hall Funeral Home.
