Beloved Husband for 59 years of Mary Ann (Basel) Tate. Loving Father of Daniel Tate, Thomas (Christina) Tate, and Victoria (Tim) Otley. Grandfather of Ian, Alana, and Andrew Otley, and Lisa Tate. Brother of Annabelle (the late John) Savinda, Karen (the late Michael) Basel, and the late Richard Tate. Brother-in-law of Frances Tate and Uncle of Suzanne Tate.
Jim was employed by the Oakmont Country Club since the age of 16 as a greenskeeper, where he was known as "Mickey." He was affectionately known as the "Mayor of 3rd Street," and will be remembered as a well known and much loved longtime resident of Oakmont.
Friends and relatives will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 2-7 p.m. where a blessing service will be held at 7 p.m. at the conclusion of the visitation.
