James A. Telfair Jr. passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2023 in his family's home in Simpson, North Carolina. He was born to James A. Telfair Sr. and Margie Telfair on September 8,1970 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
James was a graduate of the High School of Commerce in 1989, he was a member of his high school show choir, with whom he performed in Paris, and he took Karate during his high school years. He worked for many years, as a machine adjuster at Westvaco in Springfield, MA alongside his father. James loved singing, and making everyone laugh, people always said he should have been a comedian. He loved beatboxing when his sister Vickie rapped at family gatherings. James was loving, funny, quiet, and would help anyone if he could with doing anything, he was a handy man in fixing things around the house.
Predeceased by his father James A. Telfair Sr. whom he was very close.
James leaves a legacy of love and laughter.
He is survived by his loving Mother Margie (Oliver) Kerr whom he had a close relationship. Siblings Vickie (Tony) Telfair-White, Jacqueline (Jackie) Telfair all of Springfield, MA. William (Ebony) Kerr of Canal Winchester, OH, his nieces Dwan Telfair, Sade Telfair, Amber Johnson, of Springfield, MA and Leilah Kerr of Canal Winchester, OH, his nephew D'shawn Telfair of Springfield, MA and great nephews Christopher Spears, Jaylen Perkins and Hudson Telfair, and host of family and friends.
James presence will be profoundly missed, but his memory will continue to be a beacon of warmth for his family and all that knew him.
