James "Jimmy" Howard Tutle passed away on March 19, 2023 due to Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). He was 73 years old. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Jimmy managed his illness with strength and grace, and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. On his final day, he was surrounded by his family, who he adored.
Jimmy was born March 16, 1950, to JH and Mildred (Lamb) Tutle in Wills Point, Texas, the youngest of two children. He attended school in Mesquite, Texas.
Jimmy is a veteran of the Vietnam War; he served honorably in the United States Navy.
Jimmy valued hard work, honesty, and the value of a man's word. He was a simple man with a big smile. If you ever got the pleasure of meeting Jimmy you instantly loved him. Jimmy could build and fix anything.
Jimmy married Brenda Leslie in Dallas, Texas. Together they had 4 children, Troy, twins Todd and Tracie and Timmy. Jimmy and Brenda were married for 11 years.
Jimmy met and married Joanna Biggerstaff Hopper in Mesquite, Texas in 1983.
Jimmy and Joanna later made their home in Wills Point, Texas. They were married for 39 years.
Jimmy is survived by son Troy and wife Amy Tutle of Sunnyvale, Texas; son Todd Tutle of Caddo Mills, Texas: daughter Tracie and husband Justin Robinson of Caddo Mills, Texas; and son Timmy and wife Page Tutle of Rockwall, Texas, daughter Laura Hopper Mosier and husband Jeff Mosier of Independence, Iowa; Texas; 13 grandkids, 19 great grandkids; niece Ray Ann Farris of Bonham, Texas.
