James "Jim" Volkman passed away unexpectedly on November 4th, at the age of 79 years. He is survived by his forever love Sandra Burger of 40 wonderful years. Jim was the youngest son of the late Pearl and Earl Volkman. Survived by brother Eugene (late Rosemary) and sister-in-law Karen (Late Jerry) Volkman. Proceeded in death by his sisters Darlene Mallwitz (Late Ed) and Karen, and brother Jerry. Adored Uncle of Mike (Karen) Mallwitz, Mark (Lisa) Mallwitz, Kristy (Late Ty) Marienthal, Dean (Julia) Volkman, Richard Volkman, Trey Volkman, and Pearla Volkman. Great Uncle to Laura, Linda, Cory, Alaina, Molly, Daren, and Cody.
Professionally Jim retired from American Can Co. where he gained many lifelong
friends and was known as somewhat of a prankster.
In Jim's younger years he shared many adventures with Sandy, traveling, music concerts, State Fair, church festivals, parades, Brewers games, and his nephew's softball games. He was known as the "Best Dressed Brother" by Gene and Jerry who often received daily calls from him. His love for music would lead him to any dance floor where all eyes would be watching.
Uncle Jim earned the reputation as "Fun" Uncle, but it was his unwavering and unselfish love for his nephews and nieces that was most endearing.
Jim's memory will forever be cherished by his friends, neighbors, and family. We say goodbye to you with heavy hearts, but hold onto the joy and love you brought into our lives.
