James "Jimmy" Ray Walker, 60, of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on August 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous four-year battle with cancer. Born on July 2, 1965, Jimmy was the son of the late Roy W. Walker and Mary E. Moore Maye. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose greatest joy was found in his family. Jimmy is survived by his spouse of 28 years, Sandra Duvall; children, Jessica Walker (Joey) of Lexington, Sandi Jones of Greenwood, and Melody Baker (Zack) of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brandi Jones. He also leaves behind his siblings, Debbie Ellis of North Augusta, Richard "Danny" Walker (Angie) of Hodges, and Donald Edward Walker of Greenwood. A proud and loving "Papa," Jimmy cherished his grandchildren: Kaleigh, Haydyn, Isabella, Samantha, Austin, Dakota, Olivia, Paisley, Kenzley, Kyrianna, and Sadie, as well as his great-grandchildren, Matthew and Abigail. Jimmy will be remembered for his unwavering love, his selflessness, and the way he always put his family first. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose presence will be deeply missed but whose memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Elmwood Cemetery with the Pastor Byron Jones officiating. Pallbearers will be Haydyn Shaw, Austin Shaw, Christopher Shaw, Zack Baker, Joseph Crowe, and Dewayne Ivey.
