James Mark Watson, age 66 of Munfordville, KY, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Elizabethtown. He was a former employee of Winn Aire in Elizabethtown, Bluegrass Stockyards in Campbellsville, R and S Rodeo, and Upton Stockyards. He enjoyed the outdoors, his animals, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is the son of the late James Wilford Watson and the late Nettie Maxine Underwood Watson.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Barbara Wheeler Watson, Munfordville, KY, his daughter, Valerie Judd, Hodgenville, KY; four step-children, Letisa Johnson (Eric), Louisville, KY, James Wooden, Campbellsville, KY, Glenn Wooden (Rhonda), Bowling Green, KY, and Daniel Wooden, Tallahassee, FL; three grandchildren, Lane Judd, Chandler McCandless, and Hazel McCandless; four step-grandchildren, Caleb Wooden, Croslin Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, and Gabe Wooden.
The family will welcome friends from 11:00 AM- 2:00 PM CT on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM CT on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Williams officiating. Honoring Mark’s wishes, cremation will follow the services.
