James Richard (Jim) Wesley, 92, of Pace, Florida passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, in his home surrounded by loving family.
Jim was born June 2, 1930, in Point Washington, Florida, to Reverend Herman and Sara Wesley. Upon his graduation from Jay High School, he served four years in the United States Navy. He returned to Jay, Florida to marry the love of his life, Judy Hawsey Wesley. He received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from LeTourneau Technical University in Longview, Texas. They moved to Milton, Florida in 1962, where he began his career with American Cyanamid, retiring after 34 years of employment.
Jim was a man of faith who loved GOD, his family, his friends and lived a life of faithful service to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Sara Wesley; his brother, John Wesley; his first wife, Judy Wesley; his second wife, Anise Wesley; his grandson, Daniel Wesley.
He is survived by his four sons, Paul (Rhonda); Ben (Mel); Whitney (Carolyn) of Pace, Florida, and Martin (Mardy) Wesley of Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon (CoDee) Wesley, Lauren (Adam) Buchanan, Kaitlyn (Nathan) Pooley, Krista (Richie) Narain, Tazmin Hart, Jeffrey (Kailee) Wesley, Jennifer Wesley, Kayla (Stephen) Butler, Kyle Wesley, Rachel Wesley, Sarah House, and 10 great grandchildren.
A funeral service for Jim Wesley will be held on Monday, May 29, 2023, at Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel, 4777 West Spencer Field Road, Pace, Florida 32571, with visitation from 12:00pm- 1:00pm and service at 1:00pm. Interment will immediately follow at Serenity Gardens.
Reverend Andy Martin, pastor of Wallace Baptist Church, where Jim faithfully attended, will be officiating.
