James P. Whilldin

On November 6, 2025, Jim passed away unexpectedly at home at age 84. Born and raised in Oaklyn, Jim graduated from Collingswood High School and went on to earn his bachelors degree from Drexel University. He worked primarily in the tax office at First Fidelity Bank, retiring from Wells Fargo Bank in Philadelphia. Jim also taught business classes as an adjunct professor for over 20 years at Camden County College. Jim was a lifelong, active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Oaklyn. An avid boater, gardener and golfer, Jim worked for many years with Ron Jaworski Golf as a starter and ranger-first at Valleybrook Golf Course, and then for the past few decades at RiverWinds Golf Course until his passing.

Jim is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of nearly 62 years, Dolores (nee Corbett); his daughter, Colleen; and his two sons, Brian (Amy) and Phillip, plus his brothers- and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to services on Thursday, November 13th at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 409 White Horse Pike, Oaklyn, NJ: viewing from 9:30-10:45 AM; funeral at 11:00 AM. Interment following at New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
