James Douglas Wickham
James (Jim) D. Wickham was a U.S. Navy Veteran who was a caring, loving husband, father, uncle, cousin, and friend. He passed away on July 1, 2023.
James Douglas Wickham was born to James and Oma (Hudson) Wickham on September 4, 1946, in Enid, Oklahoma. He spent much time on the family farm in Ohio formally known as Johnny Appleseeds land. They moved to Normandy Park, Washington where Jim attended Highline High School.
After graduation, he was enlisted into the United States Navy, serving in Vietnam and Korea. He earned two Bronze Stars, a Vietnam Campaign Medal, and an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He had an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy in 1970.
After returning home, he attended Bellevue Community College receiving a degree in Medical Photography and Drafting. Jim started a career at Boeing, where he met his wife Debbie and her son Brandon. They married on January 30, 1999. Jim adopted Brandon that year and welcomed their own son, Benjamin.
Jim was involved in the Boeing Train club, and Heart of God Fellowship where he has been a faithful member for many years. The family requests any memorials be given to any of the following in Jim's honor: Heart of God Fellowship, St Anne's Cancer Center, and Wounded Warriors Foundation.
