James Reynolds Williams, III, of Pelahatchie, Mississippi, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, in Brandon, at the age of 39. He was born March 17, 1985, in Jackson, Mississippi, to James Reynolds Williams, Jr. and Sandra Nell Mason.

James worked as a tire tech at Korbett’s Tire & Auto in Brandon. He loved to fish and ride horses, and he was an avid guitar player and singer. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and was very close with Korbett Patrick. His greatest accomplishments in life were giving his life to Jesus and earning his bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He found joy in spreading the love and forgiveness of Jesus through his work with Kairos Prison Ministry. He was also a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Brandon.

James is survived by his mother, Sandra McFarland (Steve); grandparents, Oleta Mason and Gail McFarland; sisters, Hope Boone (Lee) and Rebecca Brewer (Lee); brother, Jesse McFarland (Shelby); stepbrother, Craig McFarland (Ashley); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
