William “Bill” Harry Williams, III, a cherished native of Middle Georgia, passed away at his residence in Kathleen on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Born in Warner Robins on February 1, 1971, Bill was the son of the late William “Billy” Harry Williams, Jr. and Leona Lanehart Williams.
In his youth, Bill excelled as a baseball player, achieving the honor of M.V.P. on the Warner Robins High School baseball team before graduation. He went on to work as a sheet metal mechanic on Robins Air Force Base, where he diligently served for several years until his retirement.
Bill was a man of diverse interests and joys. With an ear for music, he enjoyed dancing, listening to the 80’s and 90’s music, and was a huge fan of Morgan Wallen and George Strait. A steadfast supporter of his home state teams, Bill could often be found cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. He also took time to cherish simple pleasures; Bill found joy while tending to his gardens, mowing the grass on his tractor, and nurturing the natural beauty around him. His home, fondly known as "Pa’s Paradise," was nestled in the woods where he delighted in observing wildlife through his trail cams and feeding the deer. Bill loved spending time with his grandkids, and enjoyed time on the river. At home, he enjoyed baking (especially with cinnamon and nutmeg), and spending time with his cat, “Ellie.”
He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Sarah Forbes (Blake) and W.H. Williams (Caitlin), all of Bonaire, as well as Larainna Williams (fiancé, Justin Lively) of Charleston, South Carolina; grandchildren, Willy, Junie, and Sunnie Williams; and sister, Leslie Williams (Jennifer Walton) of Perry.
A memorial gathering will be Monday, June 24, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. William Harry Williams, III, will be laid to rest privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of William Harry Williams, III, to a wildlife preservation of your choosing.
