WILSON, James Lee – of Montrose, age 53, died Friday, March 11, 2022 at his residence. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2022 at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Ray Foust officiating. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. James was born July 8, 1968 in Flint, Michigan to the late Albert and Jeanette (Clouston) Wilson. Jimmy grew up in Montrose and lived there most of his life. He was the son of Montrose. He loved his community and the whole community loved him as an extended family member. Many people would invite him to their family's table to celebrate the holidays. He lived in town and could often be seen riding his bike or walking through town chatting with anyone willing to chat back! The Montrose Blueberry Festival and the Blueberry Parade were highlights of the summer for Jimmy. He loved attending Montrose High School athletic events, especially football games. Jimmy would often post on social media about his beloved Montrose Rams to update family and friends on the score or upcoming games. His posts would also give weather updates and notices about the passing of music celebrities from the 70s and 80s, his favorite decades. Jimmy was voted Most Spirited class member of the Montrose Class of 1987. He loved his family, friends, and Class of 1987 classmates unconditionally and we all loved him too. He was the glue that held his school family together. He was very personable and could easily put a smile on your face. Around the holidays, he worked hard to create individualized holiday cards that he would mail to select family members and special friends. He persevered through this process with his limited vision because he wanted to make sure those closest to him knew how much he cared and that he appreciated their kindness. Jimmy was a kind-hearted, compassionate, devoted son, brother, cousin, and friend.
Rest in peace, Jimmy. We promise to celebrate YOU! Spread your kindness in Heaven and watch over all of us from the best seat in the house! You will be greatly missed and always loved!
Surviving are: Brother, David Wilson; Uncles, Tim Wilson, Ivan Wilson, Terry Wilson; Nieces, Starr Alvarez, Hailey Lively; Nephew, Tyler Hattley; Cousins, Terra Wilson, Devita Wilson, Janel Wilson, Timmy Wilson. I´m heartbroken to hear of Jimmy´s passing. When we were really young, our families spent a lot of time together. He remembered every detail! His heart and spirit were so large - it captured everyone around him. He can now Rest In Peace
