James Stanley Wilson, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on January 30, 2024, in Davidson County, North Carolina. He was born on July 6, 1959, in Guilford County, North Carolina. James lived a fulfilling life, leaving behind cherished memories for all those who knew him.
Throughout his life, James dedicated himself to working as a skilled Diesel Mechanic, showcasing his strong work ethic and expertise in his field. When he wasn't hard at work, James found joy in various interests and hobbies. He loved fishing, spending peaceful days by the water's edge, casting his line into the depths. His hands were always busy, whether he was working on cars and trucks or indulging in some tinkering. James also had a passion for Diamond Painting, creating stunning works of art with meticulous attention to detail. The beach held a special place in his heart, providing solace and tranquility. James was also a Army Veteran who served his country proudly.
James was known for his remarkable skills as a Master Mechanic, always lending a helping hand when someone needed assistance with their vehicles. Above all, family and friends were paramount in James' life. He adored his wife of 34 years, Kristie Loflin, and treasured every moment they spent together. James was a loving and devoted father to his sons, Justin Wilson (Allison Dahl), Bryon Wilson (Heather Rogers), and Jesse Wilson (Grace). He was immensely proud of his 15 grandchildren, who brought him endless joy and happiness.
In addition to his immediate family, James is survived by his brother, Rick Wilson Sr., and his sisters, Lynn Merryman and Amy Fesmire (Jason). He also leaves behind his faithful canine companion, Piper. James will be dearly missed by his eight nieces and nephews, as well as his many friends.
A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate James Stanley Wilson's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday February 4th at Rich Fork Baptist church in Thomasville, NC. For those who wish to pay their respects, donations can be made in James' memory to The Wounded Warrior Project or The Michael J Fox Foundation, two causes that held personal significance to him.
James Stanley Wilson will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire kindness and compassion in the lives of all who were touched by his presence.
