In loving memory of James W. Wize (better known as Kool-Aid) born on July 18, 1946 and he took his last peaceful earthly breath on September 21, 2025. James W. Wize was born to Lula Mae Bivens on July 18, 1946. He attended Clarkesville High School in Cornelia, Ga where he graduated. He went to the United States Army where he served for 6 years in rank of SP5. He obtained numerous medals for his service, Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign medal w/60 device, Army commendation medal, and Expert Badge (M-16 Rifle). He served with honor and commitment that defined his life. James was a remarkable and resourceful man who could fix just about anything. He was a doer always busy with something and a good mechanic and worked for CSX Railroad and a truck driver. He liked to bowl, camp and fish. He was a devoted member of Kingdom Fellowship Christian Church for over 15 years and served on the deacon board. He was preceded in death by his mother Lula M. Bivens. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Shirley (Summerour) Wize, three daughters Dania R. Wize Price (Duluth, GA), Erica L. (Terrence) Wise (Lithonia, GA), Chanda L. (Robert) Canady (Hampton,GA) and Joseph L. (Danielle) Wize (Gainesville, GA) a brother Jessie Bivens (Gainesville, GA) and two sister Peggy Sewell (Gainesville, GA ) and Jacqueline McRae (Florida). A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended relatives and dear friends who loved him dearly. James kindness, strength and warm spirit touched everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. He will live on through the love, devotion and resilience of the lives he impacted.
