James A. Wright, 68, of Washington, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026, in Transitions Health Care, Washington.

He was born June 4, 1957, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Clarence and Blanche Fife Wright.

Mr. Wright was a 1975 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and received his Bachelors Degree in Business at California University of Pennsylvania.

He had been employed at Dynamet in Washington for over 15 years and as quality supervisor for the former Stel Kast in McMurray and Perryman Corporation from which he retired in 2021.

Jim was a member and former elder at the Bethel Presbyterian Church in Prosperity and attended The Vineyard near Ogelbay in West Virginia.

He was a member of the Three Rivers Corvette Club and enjoyed working on his pride and joy 73 Corvette and going for car rides. Jim loved the outdoors, was an avid fisherman, followed sports, gameshows, traveled extensively, even to China and most important was the time he spent with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly McKnight; children, Kira L Wright (John) of Eighty Four, James Wright (Amanda) of Suwanee, GA, Skyler Duchess of Washington and McKenna Duchess (Daniel) of West Hills, CA; grandchildren, Dawson and Caleb Wright and Zander and Zayden Duchess; two sisters, Barb Wright (Robert) of Eighty Four and Karen Wright (Curtis) of Houston; two brothers, Sonny Wright (Alice) and Don Wright (Sue) both of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, a sister Margie Wright-Monsour is deceased.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 Thursday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave. Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 6, 2026. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
