Jamie Lynn Ring, of Winston Salem, unexpectedly was given her Angel Wings, August 11, 2025. Jamie was born 03/31/1984 to Gregory Lewis Ring, Sr. and Vicki DeGraff Ring Herbst, in Ararat, NC. After moving to Greensboro, she graduated from Southeast Guilford High School in 2002, while there she became a Certified Life Guard, working for Wet & Wild Emerald Point Water Park for over 7 years. After high school Jamie attended East Carolina University, earning her degree in Accounting. She used her accounting knowledge in various careers which included Restaurant Management, Accounting with the State of NC and various other companies and entities.
Jamie had an infectious smile and laugh that brought happiness to all those who had the pleasure of knowing her, with the assurance if you had a need she would be there. Aside from her love of family and friends, her love of the canine kind was second to none. She was an advocate for dogs that had been abused, abandoned and those just in need of a loving home, always wanting to put that love and energy into a Pet Sitting business. Another passion was interior design as bringing beauty into her home and the home of others was something she loved to do. Other hobbies and interests included water sports, baking for family and friends, running, working out, spending time with her nieces and nephews, shopping, watching crime dramas, documentaries and movies, most of all cuddling with her 4 legged, best friend, Sailor.
Jamie is survived by her parents, Gregory Lewis Ring, Sr.(Glenda) of Mt. Airy; Vicki D. Herbst of Kernersville, her brother Gregory Lewis Ring, Jr. (Sherry) of Ararat; many nieces and nephews; her partner of 13 years, Joe Basile of Winston Salem, and her beloved rescue dog Sailor.
