Jamison Michael Ash was born April 9, 1972 to Jamesetta L. Ash in Chicago, Illinois. Jamison Ash eternal rest was on Thursday April 3, 2025 at Ernestine M. Raclin House.
Jamison was a selfless and loving person. He knew how to comfort the spirits from strangers to his friends and family. He had an infectious smile and endless humor. Jamison loved to cook and was always willing to prepare a meal for any craving. He graduated from Farragut Career Academy in Chicago, Illinois. He received his degree as a medical assistant in Phoenix, Arizona. Jamison entered the workforce not long after graduating. He had several occupations. The most recent job he had was Samlind of Indiana Inc.
Jamison Ash hobbies included fishing, bowling, caring for children, gardening, football, movies, singing, listening to music, and animals. He also found great joy when he talked on the phone to friends and family. Jamison dedicated his life to Christ at an early age.
He moved to
South Bend, Indiana in 2007. He joined Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. James Minor. He was also a member of Rhema Word International Outreach under the leadership of Bishop Stephen Reed. He got married to Michelle Ash January 29, 2017 after being together for ten years.
Jamison is survived by his wife Michelle Ash of
South Bend, IN and father-in-law Pastor James Minor of South Bend IN. He is survived by his daughters Jasimine (Jaquan) Ash, Tiyana Ash of Chicago, IL, Diamond Parks of Las Vegas, and honorary daughter Veronica McCray of
South Bend, IN. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Varneyll Irons of
South Bend, IN and Jakob Parks of Las Vegas. Jamison also leaves behind two uncles Joseph Ash, Milton Alexander and aunt Sharon McFarlin of Illinois. All of them loved him like a sibling. He leaves a host of cousins, but his cousin Michael Alexander was a brother instead of a cousin to him. He is survived by his goddaughters Tanika Hudson of Bolingbrook, IL and Mianna Hawkins of
South Bend, IN. He is also survived by his Godsons Shamarr Fair - Charles Odynski of
South Bend, IN.
Jamison was the only child but due to growing up on Kedvale Avenue in Chicago, Illinois he didn't just develop friendships he received a brotherhood from Tavaraes (Kenyatta) Hudson, Cedrick (Arethia) Weston, and Titus Weston. They developed a love and bond that no one could replace and stories for days. He also developed another brother Michael (Deona) Hawkins of
South Bend, IN. Jamison had a host of friends whom he loved dearly.
Jamison Ash preceded in death by his uncle Michael Ash, his grandmother Mary McFarlin, Aunt Louise Alexander, his mother Jamesetta Ash, and uncle William T. Ash. Jamison will be greatly missed be all who knew him.
