Southbridge: Jan G. Baillargeon, 65, passed peacefully into eternity on August 25, 2025, after "winning" his final battle with cancer. During the past two years he witnessed his faith by telling anyone who would listen, "If I beat it, I go home. If I don't beat it, I go home. I win either way."

He leaves his "bride" of 43 years, Deborah L. (Leboeuf) Baillargeon of Southbridge; his sons, Robert J. Baillargeon and his wife Catherine of Springtown, TX and Tim J. Baillargeon and his wife Sarah of Parkersburg, WV; his sisters, Lynn Canning of Biddeford, ME and Elizabeth Brewer of Steep Falls, ME; grandchildren, Mira King, Timothy Baillargeon, Eva Baillargeon, Anna Baillargeon, and Elena Baillargeon; his uncle, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jan was born in New Britain, CT, the son of Robert J. and Dolores (Morel) Baillargeon.

After graduating from Southbridge High School in 1978 he joined the Army and was proud to have served for 20 years. He married his high school sweetheart, raised his boys and provided for his family by working in the drycleaning industry, retiring after 28 years.

Jan had numerous interests and hobbies. He was a "collector of all things," enjoyed gaming with friends, was a fan of science fiction and fantasy (lifelong Star Trek fan), but was passionate most of all about spending time "UPTA Camp" with his family. His biggest and most precious blessing was being "pépère" to his grandchildren, all of whom he loved fiercely.

He lived a life marked with positivity, humor, perseverance, strength, generosity, faithfulness and love. His absence in death will be felt as much as his presence was in life.

A Celebration of Life for Jan will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be private.
