Jan C. Butcher, 74, of Moline, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at home, surrounded by her family.

Jano was born on November 7, 1951, in Berea, Kentucky, the child of Ray and Fanny (Harrison) Daugherty. She was previously married to Roger Preslar. Jan enjoyed watching old western tv shows and movies. Above all, she loved her family and dedicated herself to ensuring that her family knew how much she loved them. She also loved her one and only dog, Piper Jane. Jan’s children loved her just as much and strongly believe, “my mom deserved so much more than this world gave her”.

Survivors include her beloved children Lori Borkgren, Lexi (Marshall) Dawson, and Wyatt C. Butcher; siblings, Marv (Linda) Daugherty and Barb Carstensen; grandchild, Karly (Tate) Buller; first great-grandchild, River Michael Buller.

She was preceded in death by her grandchild, Justin Dawson; son-in-law, Jeff Borkgren; father-figure, William Richard Stablein "Gramps".
