Jan Geiser, 66, of Winchester, VA passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Winchester Medical Center surrounded in love by her family and close friends.
Jan was born January 31, 1959 the daughter of the late Jack and Jane Drumheller. She was a 1977 Graduate of John Handley High School and attended Elon College. Jan had a servant's heart and her life's mission was making other's lives more enjoyable through her compassion, care, and gift of music. She worked alongside her parents for many years at Thee Shop Christian Bookstore, sharing her faith and helping others. Afterwards, she became a teacher's aide for Frederick County Public Schools where she encouraged and enriched the lives of many special needs children that she taught. Jan had a true passion for music and took great pleasure in working with all children and youth at First Christian Church for many years and more recently as choir and music director at Brucetown United Methodist Church. She also participated in several different singing groups and her gift of music was an important part of her faith and giving praise to God.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Geiser, whom she married on, May 28, 2000, her step-daughter Aimee Nance, 2 step grandchildren, 1 great step grandchild; her brothers Jack Drumheller, Jr (Tracy) and Wayne Drumheller (Brenda); nieces and nephew, Jaclyn Michels (Nathan), Shannon Hoyer (Ben), Casey Price (William), Zachary Drumheller (Amanda), Erin Drumheller and 9 great nieces and nephews. Along with her parents Jan is preceded in death by a step grandchild and her special student, Levi.
The family would like to thank the entire team of doctors and nurses at Valley Health Critical Care Unit #4 for their tremendous care during her recent hospital stay. A Memorial Service will be held at Brucetown UMC on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Memorial Contributions in memory of Jan, may be made to Brucetown UMC, 2161 Brucetown Road, Clear Brook, VA 22624. Please visit obituaries and tribute wall at jonesfuneralhomes.com
