John Boyd Obituary

Son of Richard K. and Irene Lowe Boyd. He was a 1974 graduate at James Wood High School. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by a daughter, Bailey G. Grove of Charles Town, WV; brother, Allen R. Boyd (Judy) of Frederick County, VA; sister, Judy Boyd Parker (Jerry) of Deltaville, VA, and two nephews, Kenneth R. Boyd (Teena) of Doswell, VA and Jeremy A. Boyd of Finland.
He was an avid baseball and softball player in his early years. He also grew up loving hunting and fishing and was a Civil War buff. Later he developed a passion for dirt track pure stock car racing.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #824, and a member of Turner Ashby Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date and burial will be private.
