Jan Nicholson Obituary
New Iberia – A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Highland Baptist Church, 607 Victory Dr., New Iberia, LA 70563, for Jan Alan Nicholson, 72, who passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Belle Teche Nursing Home.
Rev. David Denton will officiate.
Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
Jan Alan Nicholson was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 26, 1952, to the late H.M. “Nick” Nicholson and Anna Lou Varner Nicholson. He was a longtime member of Highland Baptist Church. When his sons were younger, Jan enjoyed watching them play tennis and run. He looked forward to being reunited with his sons, Brent and Blane, in heaven.
Mr. Nicholson is survived by his loving wife, Trulie Warner Nicholson; sons, Barrett Nicholson (Lindsay), Blake Nicholson (Sarah), and Brandon Nicholson (Katie); sister, Nicki Tuttle (Frank); and grandchildren, Lillian Nicholson, Henry Nicholson, Malise Nicholson, McKinley Nicholson, Laiken Nicholson, Caleb Nicholson, and Emmy Kate Nicholson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Brent Nicholson and Blane Nicholson; and grandchildren, Kaden Nicholson, Evan Nicholson, and Finley Nicholson.
The world is a little dimmer without Jan’s light. May he rest in peace.
