Jan Regnier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by A Sacred Choice - Houston on Feb. 21, 2026.
Ada Jan Alley Regnier, 79, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026 in Sugar Land, Texas. Jan was born November 11th, 1946 to Nicholas Alley, Jr. and Ruth Sears Alley in Lubbock, Texas. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband, Henry Regnier. Jan grew up in Hale Center, Texas and attended Texas Tech University where she received her degree in Nutrition. A true beauty, Jan was the Hale Center Homecoming Queen and was a nominee for Woman of the Year while at Texas Tech. She completed an internship at Emory University and worked as a certified dietician.

Jan met Henry Regnier at the family lake house on Inks Lake and they married in 1971. They were married for 53 years, until Henry passed away on January 19, 2024. Jan and Henry moved to Houston and became parents to Christopher and Ryan Regnier. Jan supported Henry's business ventures as a bookkeeper for many years. Jan enjoyed raising her children and becoming a grandmother to Estella and Brody Regnier. She also enjoyed reading, photography, painting, making cards, and genealogy. She and her sister, Carol Alley Pearce, were extremely close throughout her life and you would often find them completing each other's thoughts.

Jan will be remembered as someone with a kind heart and a great sense of humor. She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great aunt. The legacy of love for her family will live on. Those left to honor her memory include her sister: Carol Alley Pearce; her sons: Christopher "Chris" and Megan Regnier; Ryan Regnier; her grandchildren: Brody and Estella Regnier; her niece and nephew: Nicole Hobson and Brian DeJarnett. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made in honor of Jan to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
