Jane E. Boring, 80, of Edinburg passed away Monday, March 31, 2025. She was born February 2, 1945, in Cumberland, Maryland to Herman and Godetta (Blackburn) Bowman. Jane applied her experience at her parent's grocery store and worked as a cashier at Four Sons (Edinburg Corner Store) in Edinburg and later at the Rootstown Giant Eagle where she loved dressing up for every holiday. Survivors include her children Chris (Cathy) Boring and Michelle Boring, grandchildren Nathan (LaRee) Boring and Andrew (Allie) Boring, great grandchildren Elijah, Azariah, Micaiah and Emily and siblings James Bowman and Gail (John) Smouse. She was a Girl Scout leader for several years when Michelle was a member. She was also a poll worker for the Board of Elections. She was a member of the Moose and later the Southeast Lions club. Jane enjoyed traveling, playing cards and watching her grandsons as they were growing up. She was also crafty which came in the form of sewing, macrame and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband James R. Boring in 2017. Calling hours will be from 4 PM until time of funeral service at 6 PM Monday, April 7, 2025, at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Sperrys Run United Methodist Church Cemetery in Baker, West Virginia.
