Jane A. Devlen, 84, of Groton, passed away on September 28, 2023 at Cayuga Medical Center.   She was born on February 13, 1939 in Groton, a daughter of the late Clarence and Rhoda (Westlake) Devlen. A graduate of Groton Central School, Jane worked as an Assembler for Smith Corona (SCM), and retired from Pall Trinity Micro Corp. in Cortland.  She enjoyed reading, loved her birds and gardening, and, most important to her were her grandchildren!   She is survived by her companion of many years, Richard Clark, of Dryden; her daughters, Lori McLaughlin, of Groton, and Cindie Armstrong (Charles), of Dryden; her grandchildren: Amanda Sidle (Matt), Eric McLaughlin, and Alison McLaughlin; great-grandchildren, Alayna McLaughlin-Kemp and Jordan Sidle; her twin sister, Jean Emeno, of Freeville; sister, Doris Johnson (James), of Lima; a brother, Charles Devlen (Maria), of Caledonia; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Gilbert and Anne Devlen; a son-in-law, Art McLaughlin; and a grandson, Lee McLaughlin.    Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 6 at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 103 Lincoln Avenue, Groton with interment to follow at Groton Rural Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00-2:00 PM, preceding the service.  Memorial contributions are graciously directed to the Groton Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 96, Groton, NY 13073 or to Hospicare & Palliative Care Services, 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.
